Idukki

Idukki is the beautiful high range district of Kerala. Idukki district has many hills and dense forests. Idukki accounts for 66% state's needs of hydro electric power.

Idukki is a land-locked district. The district is well-known for its tourism because of its natural beauty. The famous tourist place Munnar is located in Idukki district. The Periyar Wild life Sanctury located at Thekkady is also in Idukki district.

The district is highly heterogeneous in the matter of its people in their culture, climate, cropping pattern, physiographic features etc. Idukki is also known for the splendid green mountains, streams and spices.

Munnar is a famous hill station in the Idukki district. Munnar is a favorite location of the tourists during summer.

Ramakkalmedu:

Ramakkalmedu is a small hill station in the Idukki district of Kerala. It is located about 15km from Nedumkandom on the Munnar-Thekkady route.

Elappara is a small beautiful village in Idukki district of Kerala. It is 4km from Vagamon.
