Ernakulam
Ernakulam
refers to the most urban part of Kochi. The name 'Ernakulam'
is derived from the name of a very famous temple of Lord Shiva called the
Ernakulathappan Temple. Also said that the word Ernakulam was drawn from
Malayalam word 'Ere naal Kulam', which means 'Pond for a long time'.
Ernakulam is a very fast developing city
in Kerala. The town has many important places of tourist interest.
Ernakulam is the commercial capital of Kerala.
There is a high-tech children's Park with Non-Conventional Energy Museum
and Musical Fountain. The Children enjoy a lot with the facilities
available here. Marine drive, Bolgatty Palace, Hill Palace Museum at
Tripunithura and Thrikkakkara temple are some of the important places in
