Elappara is a small beautiful village in Idukki district of Kerala. It is 4km from Vagamon. Elappara is considered as one of the oldest Mountain ranges.

Tea Estates abundant in Elappara gives the place a picturesque view. Elappara is famous for the Ulakkayurutty Falls. Side by side with Ulakkayurutty falls are two other named Mathukokka and Kozhikanam.

Marayoor, Kanattalloor, Rajakkad, Mattupetty and Pallivasal are the nearby places. One can visit Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Eravikulam National Park and Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary from Elappara.
