Vendakka kichadi is one of the Thottukari in this feast which is served for every vishu, Onam and wedding feasts in Kerala.
Ingredients
Lady's finger cut into thin round slices - 6
Green Chilly cut into thin round slices - 3
Curd/Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Salt - as to taste
Curry Leaves - 1 stem
Coconut Oil - 4 dspn
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Dry Red Chillies - 1
Coconut paste - 1/4 cup
Method


Pour oil into a kadai and add lady's finger and green chilly to that and fry till brown.
Remove from heat and add the coconut paste to the fried vendakka.
Mix salt, and curry leaves with the curd well.
Add the vendakka mixture to this.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and red chillies and add them to kichadi.
