Paneer Kuruma
Paneer Kuruma is a good side dish for Roti or Chappathi.
Ingredients
Paneer - 120 g
For Masala Paste:
2. Green Chilly - 6
Garlic - 6 flakes
Khus Khus - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - a handful
Big Onion - 1
3. Fennel Seeds (Perum Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
4. Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 1/4 tsp
5. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
6. Oil -2 tbsp
7. Chilly Powder - 2 tsp
8. Potato - 250 g
9. Big Onion - 250 g
10. Tomato - 4
11. Kismis - 10
12. Chena dal powder (gram flour) fried - 1 tbsp
13. Coconut Milk - from 1/2 coconut
14. Salt - as required
Method
In a hard bottomed pan, add oil.
Splutter Jeera, and add big onion slices.
Saute the big onions and masala paste together.
When the mixture is fried well, add tomatoes and saute.
Mix the gram flour, turmeric powder and salt with coconut milk 2nd milk.
When the oil separates, add the powders and the coconut milk mix.
Add the potato and cook well.
Add the first extract of coconut and add paneer cubes to this.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
