Drumstick Thoran
Drumstick Thoran is a healthy tasty thoran recipe for all age groups.
Ingredients
Drumstick (Muringakka) : 10
Garlic : 2 cloves
Green Chilly : 2 nos slit length wise
Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
Coconut grated : 1 cup
Oil : 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds : 1 tsp
Salt : as required
Curry Leaves : 1 spring
Method
Split the drumsticks into 2 length wise. Use a spoon to scrap out the fleshy part inside the drumsticks.
Crush the garlic and add to the scrapped drumstick. Add the green chillies and some salt also and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Add the vegetable to this and saute well with turmeric powder.
Sprinkle some water on this and cook covered until the drumstick is cooked.
Add the grated coconut and mix well.
When there is no water left off, put off the flames and serve with rice.
