Cabbage Masala Thoran
Cabbage Masala Thoran is a tasty thoran recipe.
Ingredients
1. Chopped cabbage - 1/4 kg
2. Green Peas cooked - 50g
3. Shallots chopped - 1/4 cup
4. Coconut sliced into small pieces - 3 tbsp
5. Desiccated fresh coconut crushed - 1/2 cup
6. Urad dal - 1 tbsp
7. Dry Red Chilly - 4
8. Coconut Oil - 3 tbsp
9. Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
10. Garam Masala- 1/2 tsp
11. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
12. Curry leaves - 1 spring
13. Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
14. Salt to taste
Method
Mix cabbage with 1/2 tsp salt.
Heat the oil on medium heat and add the urad dal and mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
Add the sliced coconut and onions and saute well.
Add the cabbage, coconut crush, chilly powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt, green peas, and curry leaves. Mix well and cook for some time and serve.
