Poha

Poha - Flattened rice mixed with potato and served with green chutney. Ingredients Poha (Flattened Rice)- 40g Potato big - 1 Bengal gram dal - 1 tbsp Oil - 1 tsp Asafoetida - 1 pinch Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp Curry Leaves - 1 stem Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Chilly Powder - 1/4 tsp Green Chilly chopped - 1 Coriander Leaves - 1 tsp Lemon Juice - 1/2 of a lemon Method Put the poha in a filter and pour water from the tap and drain immediately. Boil Potatoes and peel the skin. Cut the potato into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Add turmeric powder to this mixture. Add the prepared poha also to this and mix well until dry. Add Salt and chilly powder. Also add the roasted bengal gram, potato, green chilly and mix gently. Pour the lemon juice and the chopped coriander leaves on top and serve with green chutney.
