Challas is a Kerala style salad which is excellent with cutlets, fish fry or beef fry.
Ingredients
- Onion - 2
- Chillies - 2
- Lime Juice - 2 tsp
- Salt - as required
Method
Add salt to sliced chillies.
Add some sliced onion and mix well. Use a teaspoon or hand to squeeze out juice from chillies. This works well when mixed with salt.
Squeeze the juices out of some (about 1 tbsp) onion slices.
Mix in rest of the onion. Add lime juice and mix well.
Allow it stand covered for 10-15 minutes.
