Toddy Shop Fish Curry
You can make Toddy Shop Fish Curry in your kitchen. It is good in taste and flavour.
Ingredients
Fish like Seer Fish or Shark - 1/2 kg
Chilly Powder - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 4 tsp
Garlic pods (big chopped) - 5 nos
Small Onions - 3-4 nos thinly sliced
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Kukum Star (Kudum Puli) - 2-3 pieces
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 4 tsp
Salt - as required
Tomato (chopped) - 2-3 nos
Curry Leaves - 2 springs
Red Chillies (Kollamulaku) - if you want it very spicy
Method
Soak chilly powder, coriander powder and salt in a cup.
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan. Add fenugreek seeds and stir till they become dark brown.
Add garlic and stir for 2 minutes.
Add onions and stir again.
Add chopped tomatoes and stir fry.
After 5-6 minutes, put the soaked paste. Reduce the flame and stir well for 5-10 minutes so that everything gets mixed well and oil gets separated.
Add 3-4 cups of water, stir and boil it.
When it starts boiling, slip the fish pieces along with kukum star.
After 10-15 minutes, the gravy will thicken to a dark brown colour and the fish gets cooked as well.
Add curry leaves and serve the dish after 1-2 minutes.
