Kaya Mutta Thoran
Kaya Mutta Thoran - A different type Thoran recipe using Raw Plantain and Egg. This recipe is taken from 'Nattu Ruchi' section in Vanitha.
Ingredients
Raw Plantain- 2
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Coconut shredded - ½ cup
Shallots - 3
Ginger - 1 piece
Garlic - 2 cloves
Eggs - 2
Salt - As required
1 tbsp of Oil
Method
1)Cut the plantains into small cubes and cook with salt in water. Drain the excess water from the cooked vessel.
2)Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and add the coconut, chopped shallots, crushed ginger, garlic.
3)Saute the mixture for two minutes. Add the cooked plantains to this mixture and mix and cook covered for some more time.
4)Break and add the egg and mix well until the thoran is dry.
5) Serve hot with Rice.
