Bhagyadevatha is a hit Malayalam movie of the year 2009. Bhagya devatha is a good flick which is emotional as many of Sathyan Anthikad’s films.

Problem of dowry is discussed in many movies, but this film does it emotionally and in depth. Bhagyadevatha is a regular film from director Sathyan Anthikad, the subject is well handled and the message delivered without preaching.

Jayaram who runs a cable TV franchisee married Kanika to raise the money to buy a fishing boat. It later turns out that Kanhiha’s father Venu Nagavally was not able to keep his promise to give the dowry on time. After waiting for three months to get dowry he send back his wife to her house.

Even though Bhagyadevatha is a regular film from director Sathyan Anthikad, the subject is well handled and the message delivered without preaching.
