Shriya to act in Malayalam film Pokkiri Raja

After the tragic Kanthaswamy, Shriya Saran has signed for a Malayalam film which will mark her entry here. She will play the lead along with Mr. Mammootty and Prithviraj in Pokkiri Raja, an action-packed mass entertainer directed by newbie Vysakh.
Mammootty and Prithviraj play brothers, who meet at a place to kill each other.
Shriya has given dates from January 10 to February 15 for Pokkiri Raja which will be shot in Kochi. Pokkiri Raja has triggered huge expectations and will grace theatres on April 14, 2010.
Shriya is being paid a whopping amount to do this Malayalam film, the highest ever paid to an actress in Kerala. Shriya has sniped reports that she is doing a Tamil film with Srikanth.
Her Sarath Kumar starrer Jaggubhai and Dhanush starrer Kutty are ready for release in January. Shreyaââ¬â¢s upcoming project is Chikku Bukku with Arya and an untitled film with Jeeva, directed by debutant Gokul.
On Pokkiri Raja, she says, "My role in the film is so important. In other words, the script revolves around me. Moreover Mammootty is acting in it. So I had no hesitation in accepting the offer."
