Roshan Andrews who gave hits like Udayananu Tharam and Notebook is on to his third film.

Roshan’s much hyped Casanova was shelved due to lack of commercial viability of the film. But that doesn’t stop him; he is working for five projects in a row. Casanova was about a guy who gets any woman easily. The movie was scripted by Sanjay Bobby. Even discussions were on to introduce one of the successful music directors from Bollywood, for the first time in Malayalam. The script works of the movie was almost complete.

Casanova also had Tamil star Arya doing an important role. The project which was to be shot in Vienna and other European countries was not financially viable, taking into consideration the present box office performance of the star.

The movie which was planned after Casanova was taken now. Roshan teams up with Mohanlal and James Albert in this flick.

This untitled film written by James Albert of Classmates fame will start shooting soon after Mohanlal completes Kamal Hassan’s Unnai Pol Oruvan. Mohanlal will play Mathachan, a middle aged Syrian Christian farmer. The character and other details are being worked out as they are finalizing the paperwork of the project.

This is a family based story with the brutalities of land mafia in the state said with elements of comedy and a message to it. In this movie Lakshmi Rai, Padmapriya and Priyanka will play the 3 lady lead characters.

Antony Perumbavoor will be producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad cinemas. Distribution will be by Maxlab cinemas and entertainments Pvt. Ltd. This is expected to be Mohanlal’s 2009 Christmas release.

After this James Albert will write for Mammooty to team up with Roshan by next year. Roshan also have got approval for another film from Mammootty to be scripted by Bobby Sanjay. It is scheduled to start by the mid of 2010.

After all these projects Roshan will be doing a Dileep film. It is produced by Karunakaran under the banner of Carlton Films. Name of this Roshan Andrews-Dileep film will be Guinness Gilbert. This full length comedy movie will be scripted by Sachi Sethu and will exploit Dileep's capabilities in comedy.

Roshan is not wasting time and is running after his script writers, who are simultaneously working on various projects with the director.

Roshan is also planning to direct the fourth part of the film Nadodikkattu, which will have Mohanlal and Sreenivasan as Daasan and Vijayan. Nadodikkattu film was earlier directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and Priyadarshan.
