Popular Malayalam film actor Rajan P Dev passed away today morning at a Kochi hospital, after a prolonged illness. He was 54. He was under treatment for lung disease and expired suddenly due to cardiac arrest, at Kochi Lakeshore Hospital.
Rajan P Dev was admitted to the hospital after he vomited blood on Sunday. He was diabetic too. He died at 6.30 am today morning. Funeral will be held at Karukutti on Thursday morning 11 am.
Rajan P Dev was an actor who had his own style of acting. He proved his talent in films, dramas, and as director. Rajan P Dev acted in a many comedy roles as well as Villain characters. Fazilâs âEnte Mamattikuttiyammaâ is his first film. Recently released âPattanathil Bhoothamâ is his last movie.
Rajan P Dev was also popular in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu film industries also. He owns a Drama group named Jubilee Theatres. He is survived by his wife Shanthamma, daughter Ashamma and son Jibil Raj. He was born in Cherthala on May 20, 1954 to S.J Dev and Kuttiyamma.
He had lost his vision in the left eyes in the last days. Body will be kept for public viewing at Ernakulam Town Hall today afternoon from 2 to 4pm.
