The actorâs latest release Puthiya Mugham is super hit and has grossed more than Rs. 2 crores in 17 days. The film directed by Deepan has established Prithvi as an action hero in Malayalam films.
Puthiya Mugam has Meera Nandan and Priyamani starring opposite Prithviraj. The movie is a complete masala film and is thoroughly enjoyed by the mass audience.
Viewers donât seem to mind as several scenes resembles to Tamil movies like Anniyan, Ghajini and Saroja. Incidentally these Tamil films are also made on inspiration.
The music of Puthiya Mugam tuned by Deepak Dev is also a hit especially the song sung by Prithviraj himself. This film saved him from a drooping career as a solo hero who can guarantee success at the box office. For Prithviraj this film has given his career a boost as a solo hero.
Meanwhile Deepan and Prithviraj are getting ready with their next film, Singaravelan. Priyamani will play the female lead in this movie as well. The film is scripted by Babu Janardhanan and will be produced by Seven Arts. Singaravelan is also expected to be a mass action entertainer with lots of fight and will start shooting around November.
His upcoming films are Robinhood, Thanthonny, Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram, I Have a Dream, Kerala Cafe, Thanthonnee and Mani Ratnamâs Ashokavanam. Prithviraj has packed schedule till 2010.
Ninaithaale Inikkum, which is a remake of the popular Malayalam film Classmates, is set to release this month by Sun Pictures.
Robin Hood directed by Joshy has been scheduled for the screens on September 18. Robin Hood stars Bhavana opposite Prithviraj.
