Amitabh Bachchan is sporting a new look in his upcoming home production Paa directed by R Balki who made Cheeni Kum and is a famous Ad man. The film is being shot in Delhi, and Abhishek Bachchan is playing the role of father to his dad.
Not interested in letting public know the look of Amitabh, he has been coming and going to sets with towel wrapped around. The unit changes Amitabh's routes to and from shooting locations so paparazzos don't follow.
The makeup takes four hours and is done at Amitabh's Gulmohar Park residence. The production is relying on a team of make-up artistes from abroad for his look in the film.
The role is of a man, who ages faster than normal people do. Amithabh's face look distorted, almost like an alien in the movie. This movie is very special to both father and son and Paa has created enough hype among audience.
In his blog he wrote "My rituals today were guided by the extensive hours at the studio, a major portion of which were in front of the make up mirror, getting the face plastered with silicon. It took 4 hours for it all to come on and another hour to take it off. But may I say the results were simply phenomenal."
The film went on floors on March 2. It also stars Vidya Balan and Hurman Baweja in important roles.
The movie will release on Dec 4.
