Oru Nunakkadha : Comedian Vivek to be hero in Malayalam

Vivek's approach to comedy is different. No wonder this 48 year old comedian is considered 'more than a comedian' by people. Vivek, who is among the most popular comedians in the South uses comedy scenes to bring light into social problems and may some times suggest an answer, it's rumored that he makes his own scenes which may interrupt the director's vision.

Vivek is to debut in Malayalam film as a hero. His character in film Oru Nunakkatha is that of a sub inspector in the state police department from Tamilnadu who is also a film fan. This film which will be sold both in Tamil and Malayalam will have Jagathy Sreekumar in a supporting role. Vivek won't have Malayalam dialogues.

Debutant Johnson Thankachan is the director. Mathew Abraham will produce the movie under the banner of Ben arts. This comedy is expected to bring back laughs into theatres. The shooting is progressing in Thiruvananthapuram.

Vivek debuted in 1987 and was honored Padma Shri last year. His performances in the films Samy, Run, Sivaji and Singam have made Malayalees laugh and think. He is considered the intelligent comedian. Every day he faces a repeated question from his fans, why he still is a comedian regardless of being handsome.
