Actor Narain will don the role of Mohammed Abdu Rehman in the forthcoming movie Veeraputhran. He replaces Prithviraj, who was earlier supposed to do the pivotal role in this historical project.

Narain will be making a comeback to Malayalam film industry after a gap through Veeraputhran. Veeraputhran chronicles the life of a freedom fighter, Mohammed Abdu Rehman, who fought hard against the British rule in India. Life of Rehman from 1921 to 1945 will be depicted in this film.

The hardships Mohammed Abdu Rehman faces in his struggle as a freedom fighter and his tragic personal life will be portrayed in Veeraputhran.

Veeraputhran is written and directed by P T Kunju Muhammed. Bollywood actress Raima Sen will portray the role of Mohammed Abdu Rehman's wife 'Kunji Beevathu'. This will be her first time in a South Indian movie.

A big star cast is associated with the film. About 150 characters are there in Veeraputhran. MG Radhakrishnan handles cinematography.
