Siddharth, son of the late filmmaker Bharathan and K.P.A.C Lalitha will now be seen as director with the upcoming Malayalam movie Mithram. Kalabhavan Mani and Asif Ali of Rithu will essay the lead roles. Shruthy Menon will make her debut as the heroine through this movie.

Siddharth had made debut in the acting field through the Malayalam movie Nammal and has been assisting celebrated filmmaker Priyadarshan in his movies.

Mithram is based on the story by the Siddharth and is scripted by Santhosh Echikkanam. Pooja of the movie was held at Thrissur Chethana studio.

Mithram is a complete entertainer. The story is that a bodyguard who is appointed to look after a girl, he falls in love with her. But the love is not accepted by his boss. Others in the cast are KPAC Lalitha, Innocent, Augustin, Biju Kuttan and Nedumudi Venu, Salimkumar, Sreejith Ravi, Lena, Arun Ghosh and Laya.

Mohan composed the music and Rafeeq Ahmed, Anil Panachooraan are the lyricist. This movie is presented by David Kachapaally under the banner of Y Format Cinemas.
