Bollywood beauty Manisha Koirala is making her debut in Malayalam with art house director Shyamaprasad's next film.
Manisha Koirala has many Bollywood hits and has notable hits in South like Bombay, Indian, Muthalvan and Baba. She made a comeback in Tamil as Dhanushââ¬â¢s mother in law in Suraj directed film, Maapillai. It is a remake of Rajinikanth's film of the same title released two decades ago. She is now flooded with offers to do mother roles in south cinema.
Manisha says as she has done enough commercial masala movies she wants to do meaningful films.
The flick produced by Vindhyan under the banner of Rasika Entertainments is titled Electra and is based on a Greek play. Manisha's role is said to be an important role as mother of Nayantara. Prakashraj plays Manisha's husband. The flick also stars Nishan of Ritu fame.
National award winner Ousepachan will score music.
The camera will start rolling in April.
