Mammooty to launch son Salman in Lingusamy's debut in Malayalam

Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood are famous for actors who launch their son. But it was new for Mollywood as no father has launched his son here. Mammooty is to launch his Dulquar Salman in the film to be directed by Lingusamy in Malayalam.
Though the reigning young star Prithviraj came to acting through the ordinary route and was not launched by his father. Viewers have seen Mohanlal and his son Pranav in Sagar Elias Jackie. But it can't be considered a launch.
Grapevine is that Dulquar Salman would shortly have a name change that would fit the film industry. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of the film and Mammooty will do a cameo. This musical entertainer is expected to have lots of action, glamour and sentiments.
It was Lingusamy who revealed the news. Lingusamy is the director of Madhavan starrer Run, and the latest super hit Paiyya. He is currently busy with Tamil film with Silambarasan which is set to start in June.
Lingusamy says "Mammootty is like my big brother. We go back a long way. My first film as director Anandam in Tamil had Mammooka in a pivotal role and the film was a super hit. So when he asked me to launch his son Dulkar Salman in Malayalam, I readily agreed."
The other details of the film will be revealed by the megastar himself after he comes back from holiday in US.
