Pramani, the film B Unnikrishnan is teaming with Mammootty for the first time has filled news columns for several weeks. B. Unnikrishnan had earlier directed commercial feature films like Smart City, Madambi and IG apart from a short film in Ranjith's Kerala Cafe.

The pooja was held at BTH Sarovaram in Kochi and was attended by Joshy, Sathyan Anthikkad and Sibi Malayil.

Pramani, which was rumored to have Kavya Madhavan, would cast Sneha. She had earlier acted with Mammootty in the Johny Antony directed Thuruppugulaan and in yet to be released Vande Mataram.

Mammootty plays the role of a corrupt Panchayath President by the name of Raghava Panikker whose few good qualities are understood only by the female lead Janaki (Sneha) who plays Panchayat Secretary.

Fahadh Fazil is doing an important role in the film. The film which is scripted by director himselves has Siddiq, Jagathy, Innocent, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Salim Kumar and Nedumudi Venu in key roles.

Shooting of this movie is currently going on at various locations in Kochi and Alappuzha.

Produced by B C Joshy, the producer of super hit Madambi; the film is expected to be finished in one schedule. The film is a Surya Cinema Production. Producer plans to get it released during Vishu.
