Gaatha : Mohanlal with Juhi Chawla

Mohanlal and Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla will play the lead roles, in upcoming film titled Gaatha. The film is directed by National award winner cum cinematographer Shaji N. Karun. His last film with Mohanlal, Vaanaprastham was a winner all the way.
Juhi Chawla was finalized for the role after considering many faces including Madhuri Dixit and Jaya Bachchan. The film will commence in June in Ladakh.
Bollywood yester year star Juhi Chawla debuted in Malayalam a decade ago in the Fazil movie Harikrishnanââ¬â¢s. Though the actors have shared screen earlier, it was different for HariKrishnanââ¬â¢s as, they both have become big stars by then. The movie featured Mammootty and Mohanlal and made much controversy due to double climax which tried to satisfy the fans of both stars. It was in the year 1998. A grand reunion was seen last year in the film Twenty Twenty.
Gaatha a musical entertainer is based on a short story, Kadal written by T. Padmanabhan and will have locations in Chennai and Vienna.
Gaatha will feature many foreign technicians.
Theatres are currently playing Alexander the Great and Janakan. Mohanlal has almost completed shooting for the film Shikar and his upcoming projects are Kandahar, Casanova and China Town.
