Lal Jose's new film may not have any similitude with it, but the name definitely have some connection. Elsamma enna aankutty is the director's new flick through which he introduces another heroine to Malayalam cinema; Ann, daughter of actor Augustine. His other findings were Kavya Madhavan, Jyothirmayi, Samvrutha Sunil, Tessa, Muktha, Meera Nandan and Archana Kavi.

Indrajith and Kunchacko Boban are the male leads in the film. Indrajith's recent film Nayakan as action hero was alleged to have copied dialogues, scenes and makeup from a variety of Hollywood films and it hadn't done very well at box office. Now, Indrajith is acting as a cop in flick Chekavar with Kalabhavan Mani and Samvrutha Sunil.

The film would also have Nedumudi Venu, Janardhanan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Manianpillai Raju, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Vijayaraghavan and KPAC Lalitha in supporting roles.

Sindhu Raj, who had earlier scripted Lal Jose's Mulla and the recent superhit Puthiya Mugham, would be scripting for the film.

Produced by M Ranjith, the music of the film is composed by Rajamani. Lal Jose's last movie in theatres was Neelathamara scripted by M T Vasudevan Nair, has been appreciated for its technical and visual brilliance.
