Suresh Gopi will be donning the lead role in the film titled âEkadasiâ directed by Ashok. R.Nath. Ashok R.Nath has earlier made films Saphalam, December and Mizhikal Sakshi. The film, a psychological thriller, marks the return of ace cameraman Ramachandra Babu.
Suresh Gopi does the role of a journalist, Nandan Menon, a war correspondent, in Ekadasi. This will be a different role for Suresh Gopi who is synonymous with the angry police official in the Malayalam film industry.
Nandanâs family includes his wife Indhu and two children. Jyothirmayi plays the role of Indhu, while âSri Guruvayurappanâ serial fame Manjula and Master Devanarayanan acts as their children. Nandanâs mother and sister Aswathy lives in his native place.
Nandan wants to conduct his sisterâs marriage in a grand manner. Nandan who suffers a serious illness and battling for life, hides the truth from his family. When Aswathyâs marriage gets fixed, Nandan goes to his native place. Indhu gets suspicious about his character and believes that he is hiding something from her. Meera Nandan dons the role of Aswathy in this film. Ekadasi is all about Nandan Menonâs battle with death.
Script is by Anil Mukhathala, who also did scripting for Mizhikal Sakshi. P.Sukumar will be the cinematographer for Ekadasi. Ekadashi will have Manoj K.Jayan, Vineeth, Meera Nandan, Manjula, Master Devanarayanan and Sukumari in the cast.
Ekadasi started rolling in June 19 on the day of Ekadasi at Thiruvananthapuram.
