When Sathyan Anthikad started writing for his films the quality of his movies started crashing down. This director of ace political satire Sandesham found new lows after each succeeding film he wrote. His last film Innatthe Chinthavishayam created heavy burden for distributor.
People started complaining this talented director who has been in the industry for over 30 years got Meera Jasmin syndrome when he placed her in his every film.
Now things are changing for Sathyan Anthikad. Viewers can expect an emotional family film this time from Sathyan.
The Sathyan-Jayaram team has delivered several hits like Ponmuttayidunna Thaaraavu, Mazhavilkkaavady, Thalayanamanthram, Sandhesham, Thoovalkottaram, Irattakuttikalude Achan, Veendum Chila Veettu Kaaryangal, Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal and Yathrakkarude Sradhakku, Manassinakkare.
Sathyan after a gap of five years teams up with Jayaram, for his new venture, which is being shot at the beautiful waterscape of Kuttanad.
The film is about a family residing in Kuttanad area. Jayaram plays a cable operator Benny Chacko in the film, who is broke. He has two younger sisters, and they are not able to get married as Benny is broke to give dowry. So Benny marries a state agriculture officers daughter Daisy (Kaniha) hoping to get dowry, so he can get sisters settled. But Daisyâs father cons him, leading to the twists in the story.
This is expected to be a sentimental family movie poured with humor.

Kanihaa has debuted in Tamil film Five Star in 2002 and made her entry into Malayalam in 2006 with the campus flick Ennittum.
