After his famous Kannada slang in Chattambinaadu he is now acting in a Kannada film. His next Malayalam film Best Actor will have, Kannada actress Sruthi Ramakrishnan as heroine.

Mammootty has given dates to many talented newcomers like Laljose, Amal Neerad, Anwar Rasheed, Blessy, Mohanan to name a few. The new director, he has come up is Martin Prakkat, fashion photographer who does portfolios for the magazine Vanitha.

The actor was impressed by the script about a UP school teacher who wants to be a film actor. The film will finally reach its emotional climax through comedy narrative. Kannada actress Sruthi Ramakrishnan is the heroine in this film. Along with Mammootty the supporting casts are Lal, Nedumudi Venu, Salim Kumar, Vinayakan and the comedy rex Suraj Venjaranmoodu.

Ajay Vincent cranks the cameraman, Don Max is the editor and Bijibal provides tunes. The film is produced by Anto Joseph and Naushad under the banner of Big Screen, which produced the hit Chattambinadu.

The film will be released on October 15th. It was earlier announced that this film would be released for Ramzan in September 10. Best Actor will be distributed by Mammootty's company Play House.
