Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Chemperi, Kannur
Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Chemeperi, is an educational Project of the Archdiocese of Thalassery. Started in 2002, the college runs as a self financing engineering college, sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Kannur University.
The college is managed by the Meshar Diocesan Educational Trust, Archbishop's House, Thalassery.
The college imparts instruction at the undergraduate level in:
Electronics & Communication Engg.(ECE)
Applied Electronics & Instrumentation (AE&I),
Computer Science & Engg. (CSE),
Electrical &Electronics Engg. (EEE),
Mechanical Engineering (ME)
All classes are being handled by well qualified and experienced staff members. The college is equipped with a resourceful library, well planned computer center, fully functional basic and advanced engineering laboratories and workshops. Hostel accommodation is available for both boys and girls. There exists good facilities for sports, games, co- curricular and extra-curricular activities.
