Marth Mariam Jacobite Syrian church, Karakunnam
Marth Mariam Jacobite Syrian church at Karakunnam is one of the oldest church in the Angamali diocese and is situated near to Muvattupuzha town in central Kerala.
The altars in the church are dedicated to St. Mary and the apostles St.Peter and St.Paul.
In the Kurisupally (chapel) located near the church there exists the Holy Relics of Mor Geevarghese Sahado (St.George), Mor Kuriakose Sahado and Mor Shemuel Kadiso, established on Vrishikam 20 in the year AD 1752. At puthuppady junction, located a few distance away from the Karakunnam church, there is a Shrine dedicated to Patriarch St. Elias III of Majanikkara owned by the church.
