Dimdima Magazine
Dimdima , the Indian children’s online magazine for fun and knowledge, is a creation of Amrita Bharati, a unit of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Founded by a great Indian visionary Dr. K. M. Munshi on November 7, 1938, the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is an educational institution of national eminence.
Bhavan’s activities include, formal education through its schools and colleges, informal education through children’s supplements and Pages produced for newspapers and periodicals in India, e education through Dimdima On Line.
Since 1990, Amrita Bharati has been providing syndicated children's features for numerous English and language magazines and newspapers in India. Dimdima is the Sanskrit word for ‘drumbeat’.
In olden days, victory in battle was heralded by the beat of drums or any important news to be conveyed to the people used to be accompanied with drumbeats.
